Hanger substitute?

I too use a gear tie. I would like to find something thinner though. I'm going to raid my mom's closet next time I go there and see if she has a regular hanger. I just cover it with electrical tape or plastic wrap. Not quite sure.

You can get heat shrink tubes and use a hair dryer to shrink them around the wire. That's what I did.

For those of you who want to use a clothes hanger, just buy heat shrink tubing and put it on the wire and use your hair dryer to shrink it, if you don't have a hot air gun.
