The other day a co worker asked me if there was an herb or something that may help regrow his hair. I think he may be a little desperate, since he said he did not are if was cow poop. I heard from a Russian guy that in his village they used something for hair growth and it really worked.

Any suggestions?

Mike

I've heard rosemary is good for hair growth but I don't know if it really works. But it would explain why I see a lot of hair products with rosemary in them.

A number of things have hair re-growth or hair growth attributed to them. ROsemary for sure, but also:

clary sage
tea tree
jojoba oil
lavender
bay oil
carrot seed oil (very expensive)
burdock
cedarwood oil

Don't know that any of them have been studied to show that they actually do the job but it would be easy to make a tonic of rosemary, lavender and tea tree oil in jojoba (which is most like our normal skin and hair oil) and rub some in every night for 1/2 hour before a shower. Doubt it would hurt any!

thanks for the replies. WE may have to give this a try. He might be disappointed that there is no cow poo in the mix though...

I've heard that aloe vera is good for hair and that it can help prevent hair loss so I use it in my shampoo bars because people like it, but as far as re growing hair? I would have no idea.

I read somewhere that castor oil is really good for hair growth. rubbing it on your head and wash it out the next morning. and only conditioners remove oils from the hair. shampoo will take about 3 washes to remove the extra oils.
