Horse riding & cake decorating...how lovely for you both.
Today has been a terrific day here also.
We have been waiting for a catchment zone to b lifted on a tiny country school we really want my daughter to go to. Today it got lifted!!
She's enrolled & ready to start on Monday!!
Today is a great day indeed.
Well our on going plumbing problems (old house, original plumbing) have been fixed well and truly hopefully. We've just had all new pvc pipes put in and they finished the job today.
Looks like lots of us had a good day! Woohoo! Yay for horseback riding, getting into your school of choice and plumbing that works!
Here are a pic of the cake I made and one of my teenage son. BTW, I am not a cake decorator. I do it for the love of my son because I can honestly say I don't enjoy doing it. I would much rather cook than bake. But I wanted him to have a cake made by me so I did it for him. He LOVES Jack Skellington, the main character in the movie Nightmare before Christmas by Tim Burton so I thought it would be easy to make and it was. I also made him a queensize homemade quilt but it's still not completely finished. I'll post a pic when I finish it. It's my first ever quilt and let me tell you, it is time consuming as all heck! But I think the end result will be totally worth it. My fingers are crossed!
I try to ride at least once a day. My fav is a TW named "Ace". 5 gaiter. He's 17.8 hands and I use every bit of him. Time to feed in a few minutes. The mares will kick down the gate if I'm not there when they think it's time to eat. Goodness knows don't get between them and a bucket of grain.
