Hi,
I am really new to m&p soapmaking. I saw a photo of layered soaps that seemed to have been made in the fluted muffin papers in a muffin tin. I thought I'd give it a try so I lined the tin with the papers and made 3 layers, red, white and blue. Very pretty, I thought. I left them to harden and now I find the paper will not come off! Ooops! Now I guess the person who had made these had a metal or silicone muffin pan with the fluted shape in it.

I cant get the papers off, I've tried putting them in the freezer and that didnt help. Other than using a knife to cut the paper off and thus giving myself 5 more soaps to use up, is there any way to get the paper off? I wont do that again!

Thanks,

You could try steaming them off. Just boil some water on the stove and then hold the soaps over them for a little bit. But be careful, the soap could melt a little as well.
