I love goats milk soap. I dont use shea or mango because they're a little harder to keep melted. To have the lightest color of soap I use olive caster and I think coconut. Didn't have my soap bible in front of me, sorry. I use frozen 100% goat milk ice cubes for liquid and I put it in ice water bath. I soap this cool (80 deg) so it doesn't darken or smell. I've been able to do some great swirls and decorations with this. I think it could be done with shea or mango, you'll have to watch your temps to keep it light colored if you care about that.
Your welcome! If you soap hot your milk will turn brown and smell like amonia (sp)!
I just made a goats milk soap this last weekend and I am so happy with it. I used avocado, almond, coconut, olive and palm and just from cutting and rubbing my hands together after with what was left on my hands it lathered amazing! Just keep it super cool. I did not use an ice bath and it still stayed really cool with just milk ice cubes.
Just be sure to keep mixing long after you think the lye is dissolved. Check out soap queens video on it. It is really easy to have tiny bits of lye left in the milk.
