Strangely enough the goat farmers in my area want more $$$ for a litre of Goat's Milk than the store.... Since I need pasteurized (sp) for my lotions anyway I now just buy from the store....

Why is this strange when most hand milk there goats and have smaller heards than goat diaries. Fresh from the farm goats milk goes here $6 to $8 a quart. There is alot of testing that gets done on milk goats yearly. Local small farmers always hand milk. Dairies do not nor do the get all the one on one attention a small farm gives their goats.
