Just make sure it's stainless & not aluminum, because I accidentally overlooked that one day when a little too tired to be soaping - I used a pitcher I bought as a meting pot which I mistakenly thought was stainless & mixed my lye directly in it. It was NOT pretty, and pretty dangerous
Thankfully, it was only a test batch, so smaller amount of lye & water, otherwise, it coulda been big trouble for me.
