Getting the hang of it!

With the good counsel of my pal Deda....I was able to make a really great batch! I am very happy. It has taken me nearly a year to do CP without something awful happening to my batch! This is my sixth successful batch.

The scent is peppermint and I used red soap dye from From Natures Garden Candles, which came out to a soft pink.....

These are lard and coconut oil, as I've been experimenting with different types of oils to test their properties. I'm really, really happy with these bars.

Is there any oil or butter that produces the same effect as lard? I'd rather use a non-animal fat oil or butter...but I really like what lard did for my soap bars!

I believe the closest thing to lard in a veggie oil is Palm. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
