Can someone tell me what temperature your soap much reach in order to go through the gel phase?
I made two batches of CP soap this morning (room temperature @ 65 degrees F) and just checked on them and they are at 111 degrees right now. They don't appear to be gelling, but I can't see the middle of the soap without cutting it.... I prefer NOT to gel.
Can someone tell me what temperature soap gels at?
I did not insulate them nor did I put them in the freezer/refrigerator. (Usually when I try to avoid gel, I put them in the freezer or refrigerator!) Since the room temperature was so low, I assumed it would be "safe" to leave them out, but now I'm thinking I might have to force a gel to keep it consistent. I don't want a partial gel....
THANKS!
