Fun and easy drop swirl

I don't know what it is about drop swirl, I could make 100 of these. Maybe because I'm a beginner and it's easy. Maybe because I like to improvise.

This one is palm, coconut, shea, olive, and apricot with NDA himalayan cedarwood EO. It smells like a cigar box or whiskey barrel. Very smoky cedar.

I like that a LOT! I made one today and is green and ivory. What did you use for that shade of green?
What is a drop swirl? (newbie here, too.)

It's one color dropped on top of another when it's at a lighter trace, so it sinks into the layer below it. Or that's how I interpret it. I took a plastic spoon handle and ran it back and forth a couple times randomly, too.

It looks a bit green but that's just the color correction on my phone. The lighter part is some yellow oxide and TD (only ended up 1/2 shade darker than soap batter.)

Really? The thinner soap on top of the thicker soap. Gonna have to try that; it does sound like fun.

That does sound like fun. Cutting a loaf of soap is like unwrapping a Christmas present....hard to wait until you get a peek at what's inside!

Well for a drop swirl I've only done two colors - split the batch into two bowls, color them, then pour into the mold, alternating bowls. So both of them have the same consistency. But the consistency is pretty thin. I've tried a drop swirl with a medium-thick and thick trace, and they just lay flat on each other.

Drop swirls are indeed fun to make. And the surprise yer getting when u cut...

Yours are terrific. I've never used that eo and is curious. I bet it smells yummy!
