Hi everyone,
I just wanted quickly share a promotional tactic I have been using to draw people to my facebook business page. In my area, and likely yours, too, there are numerous FB “groups” that have been created for those who sell handmade items, for small business owners, in addition to many “buy, sell, trade” groups that allow you to promote your business and goods by placing “ads”. Just do a search within facebook with key words such as (in my case), “Wichita Falls [insert your city or county or geographical area] Handmade” or other search words like "buy, sell, trade, crafts", etc... What I do is post in each of the groups once a week (don’t spam the pages or you’re likely to get booted from the group) and attach a nice photo of a few of my goods with a link to my page. In only a few short weeks I doubled my following and attracted many great customers who go to these types of pages looking for handmade items. Each group will have its own rules, so make sure you read them before posting to make sure you are in compliance. I found this to be a great way to spread the word in my local area and for free!
Cheers,
Kersten
