ok my "fuzzy navel" smell seems to be fading as it cures, i used 2 ozs., shouldnt that be enough? It was cp, i use way less frag for hp, but im liking the way my soap is SO smooth. Help! how much fo?

That's plenty of scent. It could be one of those scents that fades then comes back after it cures a while. Or, it burned off. How hot were the lye/water & oils when you mixed in the scent?

Give it a few weeks, then see what you think. Also, try having someone else smell it. I can't smell my soaps after I've been around them for a while. It's called olfactory overload.

Your mixing temp is fine, too. Try smelling some coffee grounds, then smelling the soap. Did your soap go through gel?

gel, yes.

mandolyn is right....you should be fine on oil. ITA with the advice on waiting and trying coffee grounds to see if your nose has some fatigue going on. It could....a lot of us I'm sure are familiar with that person in the office that wears WAY TOO MUCH PERFUME. The person in question usually can't even smell it.

Another thing to remember too is that not all fragrances are created equal, and not all suppliers sell the greatest FO's.....I can think of a couple of them out there where they'd have to pay me to take their stuff.

ETA: Here is a great place to check out FO's you plan on buying. http://soapscentreview.obisoap.ca/
