This. Cedarwood oil. Googled the manufacturer and not really sure if it's essential oil or what. It looks very very old, but it smells just like the essential oil. Woody and fresh.
Any thoughts?
It's a pound minus a very little. Not bad if it's a true eo!

I remember it being used in microbiology lab where you would put a drop on a slide before viewing under the scope. Has something to do with increasing clarity and adding to magnification. I didn't know anything about EOs back then and probably never sniffed it. I'm guessing that several pipettes have entered the bottle, still if it is an EO, it might still be good.
 
Cedarwood oil for laboratory use goes for about $10/oz, so that's quite a find. It's used in tissue samples before they're examined under a microscope. I'm pretty sure it's regular essential oil, and I would think a high level of purity would be necessary for the intended use.
