Hi I have recipe been soaping little over a year.Up till now just been hobby but thinking about going into selling. So any suggestions sites to look up regulations in FL. Also where to look for ins? I am just startiing gather info to figure out how to go about it. I have a to do list feel free add to it. Thanks in advance.

RLI offers good insurance, mine is only $200 per year. They wanted to make sure I was making my soap from scratch & not using any bases.
Not sure but I don't think it covers melt & pour, which is too bad I wanted to use some melt & pour embeds & maybe make some cute fun kids soaps with erasers inside.

RLI only insures you if you sell less than 5k a year.
Seems counterproductive to limit your potential over a few dollars. I guess if you only plan on minimal sales then they're a good fit.

I don't live in FL (anymore) but I believe they consider MP based on the formlua, some MP actually is soap, some isn't.

Thanks Dedra I might start with RLI and switch when things pick up. i don't do M&P. CP and once in while HP .
