Hi everyone!

I was searching online for some recipes to make a fizzy bath melt and wanted to use Snowdrift Farms Le Bath Melt...only I don't want to use Polysorbate 20. I know I can use Lecithin in liquid form but was unsure of the percentage. Here is the recipe from the site as follows:

Dry-
1 Cup Sodium Bicarbonate
1 Cup Citric Acid

Oils-
75 grams Cocoa Butter
10 grams Macadamia Nut Oil
5 grams Wheat Germ Oil
10 grams Polysorbate 20

Seems like a reasonable percentage for an emulsifier. I was just curious if anybody had experience using it in bath melts or knew for sure what percentage for Lecithin, or is it one of those things you find out by trial and error

Thanks Genny! I just lurve mountain rose...what a wealth of info. I'm just going to make a small batch and see what percentage works best. I can't wait to make these. I was thinking about making Easter egg shapes and jelly beans and giving them as gifts in mini baskets :)
