First time making goat's milk soap, what happened?

Hey y'all, I made goat's milk soap for the first time on Wednesday, and I noticed these little dots when I cut the soap.
Are these DOS? Or air bubbles? I can hardly tell..
I tried out the end piece since it was smaller than the rest and it's wonderful! The lather is amazing and creamy. Love the feel of it! Just wondering about the dots.

Great job on your first goat milk soap! Those dots look like air bubbles to me. They are certainly not DOS, as that develops over time. You must have done an amazing job keeping your milk/lye solution nice and cool with that beautiful creamy white color you got. Beautiful!

Omg I'm so happy they aren't DOS. I used titanium dioxide for the white because I didn't want it to discolor. I might just leave it natural next time. I'm obsessed with this lather. Think goat milk might be a consistent batch for me!

I lean towards air pockets. Making sure your SB doesn't have air trapped in the bell and banging your mold on the floor/counter can help eliminate those.
It could also be undissolved TD/goat milk powder if you used GMP. All these issues are cosmetic so no need to worry on them.

I bought one of the mini tall & skinny molds from Workshop Heritage and the bowl I used to blend everything was much larger than the oil amount, so I kept struggling with the immersion blender a bit. Felt like I was creating air bubbles but I wasn't sure since I haven't created them in my previous batches.

Perhaps I used too much or something. I'll try the recipe without the titanium dioxide next time and see if that changes anything
Also, I tried your ice bath technique and it worked wonders!

Question about gelling: do you gel your GM soaps? If so, how do you do it? I'm so scared of scorching the milk or having it crack.

Stick blender. It's another name for an immersion blender.

I feel ya. I had to buy a specific sized bowl to avoid that. I have noticed that when I can't fully immerse my blender by a good bit that it creates more bubbles. Banging your mold after pouring or even pouring in bits and banging between can help with some of that. Also hand stirring for a bit with a spatula after blending can help break up some of the bubbles as well.
I love how white these are and they sound like great soaps!
