First time candle making-need tutorials!

Hi guys. I have never made candles or soap before but am very interested in both. I've found a ton of info on soap making, but candle making not so much. I understand there are a few ways to make soap, so what ways are there to make candles? I want to make pumpkin scented candles mostly, but I'll try anything. I just cannot find any thorough tutorials or recipes online. I would like to do it from scratch and not use anything that harms animals [no lard, palm oil, etc.]. Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

or just google what you need to find out or go to you tube.You seem to be getting soap and candles mixed up. Did you want tuts and recipes for candles ? or soap .

Hi. Thanks for the link. No, I understand the ingredients, mostly with soap, but I was just using examples when I said lard, palm oil, etc. I understand that is in soap though. Thanks

Can wax tarts/ melts be made from Paraffin only ?

You can make tarts with any wax, tarts should be made with a pillar or tart blend... a specially blended wax which does not stick to the sides of the mold... so you can get them out of the molds. I use soy wax and love my results.
