i repurposed this plastic box to make it into a slab mold and made my first slab batch. it is supposed to purple and white but right now it's orangy pink and yellow.

this was my first time using 50% OO, so i am not sure if the colors will turn out right, but hopefully after gelling it will look better.

I think the colors are pretty and the swirls are great! I still can't get a decent looking swirl. Yeah...still.

thanks Hazel, i poured my colors separately, and poured a little white then a little purple, then swirled a bit, then repeated until i got to the top. i am not great at swirls yet, i usually stick to solid colors, but i love this slab mold so i better get used to swirls too. :)

celestial colors (no longer in business  ) for purple and no color for white. i got full gel and now the purple is back. i am trying to get a good pic of what color it is now...

It looks really pretty. I'm glad the purple is appearing in it. It will be interesting to see what it looks like after it's cut.

....hint...hint.

Looks good to me! FD&C Blue #1 can go from peach to purple over time. I used it the other day and it went from green to peach to purple.

Beautiful job, the color turned out so rich and deep! Looks to me like your a great 'swirler', lol. Where did you get the slab mold?

here is the cut pics, i got even swirling throughout the entire mold and i am happy with it over all. i need to brush up on my cutting skills though!!

Love the cut pics! The colour you have achieved is amazing ... and it's wonderful you've been able to capture it with the photo!
