Greetings and good trace to you all! I hope I did the posting of photos correct. Loaded should be a photo of my first beer soap. The recipe called for 85 oz. of water which I substituted with 85 oz. of BECKS BEER. I like the smell of the hops and the taste of this beer. What I did to prepare the beer was to allow it to sit out in my kitchen for 3 days and 3 nights stirring it every 3 hours, during the day, for about 5 to 6 minutes to cause the beer to go flat. I didn't think the alcohol that remained in the beer would be as big of an issue as would the carbonation. I poured 37 oz. of lye into the flat (not refrigerated or frozen) beer with NO violent reaction whatsoever. The soap is unscented but has a strong hops/lye smell which I love. The lather is wonderful and abundant. It was a 14 lb. batch of beer soap. For my next beer soap I plan to use a dark stout made by a brew master friend of mine here in Portland, Oregon. Enjoy
