Successful unmolding and cutting of my very first batch of handmade soap! Took a little longer to set than I expected, and I sure learned a lot during the process.
It's a lavender citrus scent, but I used essential oils because that's all I had, and already the smell is fading.:-( But I'm glad I got that first batch under my belt!

That is awesome! Be sure you write some notes up on what you did and how it behaved. I know it sounds silly now, with it being your first batch but believe me after many batches you will forget and someday you may really want that information- especially in 8 months or so, if you decide you Love your first soap!

Always take good notes, especially when you change a recipe or an additive.

Welcome to the obsession!

Congrats on a successful first batch! Be sure to save that picture, some day, after making many, many batches, you will look back very fondly on your very first soap.
