Ok, I'm hooked. I took a class on CP and finally got the nerve to make my first batch. I learned a lot. Now I'm ready to make another. One thing I am still confused about is how to calculate the amt of oils needed. It asks how much of each oil I am using and I don't know exactly how much to put down. I did use a recipe out of a book but I still don't have the concept of amt of oil. I know the oils should add up to 100% but how many oz am I supposed to start out with? I'll keep reading and maybe figure it out.
Also, I will try to post a picture.

Congratulations on your first batch!

You calculate the amount of oils you need by basing it on the batch size you want to make. For example, if you want to make 32 oz size batch and the recipe states 75% olive/25% coconut then 75% of 32 ounces will be 24 ounces of olive oil. Then the 25% coconut oil would equal 8 ounces. Does this make sense?

SoapCalc would figure this for you when you enter the batch weight and percentages.
