First batch, success- w/pics

My first batch was a peppermint GM with a fair amount of soft oils and I was afraid I did something wrong as it stayed soft longer then I expected it too.
Almost rebatched it but decided to wait and after 3 days, I was able to unmold this morning. Still pretty soft but I was able to cut a couple bars just to check the inside. Beautiful creamy white and smells nice too, there is a orange layer on the mini loaves but its either drying lighter or developing ash, either way I will clean it all off once its drier.
No zap and already produces nice big bubble, just not a lot yet. Can't wait until its cured, I'm quite proud of my first soap:clap:
Pics coming later

Yes I am. Making a wooden mold this morning so I can whip up a batch of beer soap.

Here are the pics as promised. I kinda like the orange outside, reminds me of cheese.

finished, my molds don't have perfectly straight sides so some bars are kinda wonky

Don't expect your addiction to be confined to soap. You will soon be making all kinds of body products and may even branch out to making your own perfumes/colognes/ deodorants/ tooth paste, etc. You just tapped into an alternate universe.

P.S. I like the cheese look.

Thats a great idea for cheese soap, I'll have to try with a couple pieces:) Finished up my beer batch, so far its amazing. No trouble with overheating and it formed trace not too fat, not too long. Posting pics in the photo section.
