Royalty Soaps has a beginner series on Youtube with a starter recipe:
(recipe pdf in the bio)

I made my first soaps with it. The benefit is that you need few oils and it is very slow moving meaning you can stick blend it a lot and literally move very slowly until it gets too thick to work with. The disadvantage is that the bars will be very very very soft and you are likely to get soda ash because there is a lot of water present. For your very first batch that might not matter.

I would suggest something like this, but there are almost infinite options:
5% Castor
5% Sweet almond oil
40% Olive oil
25% Palm oil
25% Coconut oil, 76°F
35% Lye conc.

@coryphella 's recipe is very close to my base recipe so I am confident you will like the results. Two more cents: for your first time, leave out the scents and colorants so you can concentrate on all the steps and trace. Good luck, welcome, and keep us posted!
