Hey! I just unmolded and sliced my first loaf two days ago. It was a 34% Tallow, 27% Palm Kernel, 29% Olive, 10% Canola. This batch was just supposed to be an opportunity to figure things out. I used peppermint EO, and mixed in dried lilac petals at trace. Everything went smoothly, it traced in a couple of minutes. I wrapped the mold and got a complete gel. I wanted to take a sample chunk and try washing my hands with it to feel how it burns when it isn't completely cured. I was amazed at how well the soap performed two days after molding. It made me start to question why there is no hint of Zap only 2 days after making the soap? Thanks!

Ungelled soap takes longer to go through the saponification process, and you would likely be experiencing "burn", but if your soap gelled, there should be no zap. Still needs 4-6 weeks of curing time, though.

Congrats! Welcome to the addiction. Your shirt and straight jacket are in the mail. :D
