After looking, reading and watching tons of videos, I finally decided to give my hand at CP soap making. I wanted to try a simple recipe with few ingredients and those I can get locally. I settled on a 63% OO, 35% CO and 2% beeswax (hey, I'm a beekeeper) and I went with a 5% SF. Everything went smoothly. I was surprised how fast things came to trace. I used plastic molds which I had read can be problematic with CP soap and recipes with high liquid oils. After 5 days, the soaps were getting lighter in color and pulling away from the mold edges. I went ahead and popped them out but I could tell the bottom of the soaps were not ready to release yet. Lesson learned on plastic molds, leave them a lot longer. After removing them within 24 hours, I can see them getting lighter in color as they loose moisture. They smell amazing (I used Rose FO at .2 oz/lb). Now the wait. I can see that soap making can be a rabbit hole....

Congrats, they look great. Your recipe traced fast due to the beeswax.
Your plastic molds are ok to use, if the soap seems to stick, just pop it in the freezer for a hour or so then unmold.

Congratulations on your first batch. When I use plastic molds for CP soap, I first grease them up with petroleum jelly.
