Everything was going fine until my FO blend turned grainy in my main/uncoloured batter and I needed to beat the heck out of it to blend......trace sped up accordingly so of course my coloured swirl batter just lay on top, looking at me!

Still I love the 'sea breeze' scent I came up with and this is my first time adding colour to CP and I love how that part turned out. I still tried to swirl with predictable results....next time I will used an FO I know will behave!

i love the seafoam layer-tell everyone you went to a lot of trouble to get it that way! i'm really starting to like textured topped soaps- they have more character.

I love it, it reminds me of the surf at the beach.
You could call it "The Bar Beach Soap Bar" :p

Ditto, me too! Sometimes accidents look like anything but an accident. Love them!!!! :D

Thanks for all your kind comments, guys! I love how while learning, CP soaping can stretch you in directions you didn't envision......this will be a soap I will make on purpose another time.

I am a guest at my hairdresser's salon today - she is have a Christmas 'sale' with lots of jewellery, clothes......and SOAP (my MP :D ). I am taking along a bar of 'sea breeze' (or 'the bar beach soap bar' - thanks ChrissyB!) as well as a couple of other CP I have done and placing them on a "coming soon...." notice. Will be fun

Looks fine Tanya. Where did you order the Sea Breeze FO from?

Hi Paul - I actually combined several FOs and one EO to get a light, fresh ocean scent....

5 tsp BB Green Tea
2 tsp BB Seamoss
1 tsp Tidal Wave (the salt note)
20 drops Sweet Orange EO

I think I could have left out the Green Tea...I can't detect it over the Seamoss. It was the seamoss which turned grainy in my batter and had to be beaten into submission! In a 1200 gram oil batch I have enough scent to suit me - not overpowering, just nice and fresh. The Tidal Wave is from an Aussie supplier who stocks only FOs she sources from the US, so perhaps you can get it under that name?
