HI Folks

First Apple Cider Vinegar Soap I made recently.
This will be the 4th batch I've made as I'm a super newbie.
I was happy with the result although I forgot to add the EO of 2part Tea tree and 1part Peppermint EO.
So mistakenly unscented :(

Very pretty! I often use vinegar as my additional liquid, to help with hardening the soap. I also feel like it makes the lather nicer somehow.

The only reason I don't use it more often is the lye adjustment it requires - I'm lazy like that. ;)

Alioop again apologies for the Typo I use the recommended 33% Lye And Froze my ACV and used it pronto tbh as my Freezer reeked of Cider for Weeks when opening it 😀 It turned out fine bummer as unscented but probably a god send as traced slow

AliOoop just got this From Local Supplier in the UK...it's White but does have a slight Funk of Beef smell 🤔
Would this be okay to soap or would you recommend render more?

Thank you for the kind words! It's a nice bunch of people here who are great about helping each other, for sure.

So, your tallow smells a little beefy, eh? Honestly, I don't tend to smell the tallow once it is combined with the other oils and made into soap. Maybe try making a wee batch and see what you think. If you can still smell it after saponification, it might need another wet cleaning on low heat with a bit of salty water.

Congrats on your 4th batch! The Apple Cider Vinegar Soap looks great, even unscented. Mistakes happen Tea Tree and Peppermint EO will make an awesome addition next time. Keep it up you're doing amazing! 😊
