What are your favorite soap supply stores? Do they carry everything you need or do you have multiple favorite shops for certain items? Right now I'm looking at mountian rose herbs and brambleberry. Any good/bad experiences with either of those sites?
Thanks for sharing! :)

Mountain Rose is so awesome. Products are high quality and stellar.
I would definitely recommend them!!

I just got my first Bramble Berry order in yesterday. Everything was neatly packed and as they described. I'm especially pleased with the sample pack of pigments I got. The samples are large enough to do a couple batches of soap, so I can really test them out before I decide to get larger amounts.

I've also had really good experiences with MMS.

I use several suppliers, depending on what I am in need of at the moment. I frequently order from Brambleberry and I love their products. My only complaint is it takes 8 - 10 days for my order to arrive and I am impatient (my fault, not theirs  ). Have never order from MRH but I recently received their catalog and anticipate trying them.

I use Brambleberry a lot, and I've just ordered a few things from both Nature's Garden and Elements Bath and Body. I like that you can order a sample size of FO from Elements, and they send you a free sample with each order. Shipping has been quick for both.

Thanks for all the replies! All those stores sound great. I'll have a lot of browsing around to do today. :D

I just got 90% of my supplies from www.WholesaleSuppliesPlus.com. You may want to check that out as well. They gave me free shipping and items arrived fast. I will be going back there as long as they keep the quick turnaround.

I haven't tried Rose Mountain Herbs yet, but I have heard great things about them and I'm definitely going to give them a try in the future!

Ha..."free shipping" is included in your pricing. No so free as you think.

brambleberry and mountain rose herbs are absolutely top-notch. i also love camden grey for EOs -- i order almost all my EOs from them. Peak Candle and Nature's Garden for FOs, and Columbus Foods for all bulk oils. i just got a fragrance order from candle science, haven't soaped with any of them yet, but am pretty jazzed about them as a new supplier to try. i used to order a lot from MMS but decided prices and shipping were higher than i wanted to pay...

Yep. Also, don't expect any kind of help from them if your product is not what you paid for.
They are actually the reason I am asking where others buy their supplies. I'm not shopping with them anymore.
:(

Yikes - Didn't mean to open a can of worms on THAT one!
:D No can of worms opened at all. I liked wholesalesupplies, don't get me wrong. I'm glad you like them, a lot of people like them. I like the "free shipping" they have on the site too... even if it is added into product prices I at least know exactly how much I'm paying at the end.
Some places you think you made a steal on all the stuff you got in your cart, then it adds in shipping and it's like: WOW! What just happened!? lol.

Pretty much repeating what has been said already:

Camden Grey - great prices on EOs, butters, addititives

Elements Bath and Body - great selection of FOs and packaging, great customer service

Brambleberry - really comprehensive inventory - FOs, EOs, oils, molds, colorants, etc.

For FOs, I like BB, Peak Candle, AHRE, SGS, and BB. Haven't shopped Daystar, Scent Works or Sweet Cakes yet due to price but they have excellent reputations.

Columbus foods/soaper's choice for oils and butters.

I checked out the Brambleberry site and they actually carry lye! Thats awesome. :) What do you guys think? Is their lye a good deal? I've never bought lye before except once like last week. (I actually got it today in the mail I'm so excited!!!)

Though I bought my last batch of lye from www.thelyeguy.com, I've checked out www.essentialdepot.com and they are even cheaper. The luy guy is pretty cheap too. Cheaper than Brambleberry.

Well that diffidently answers my question than. Lol. I got my lye from Essential depot. :) And it arrived quicker than it said it would have! It was a fun surprise getting a package today! Lol.

I have bought things from Wholesale Supplies Plus...shipped quickly and no problems at all! Also Ive used Natures Garden for FO because you can order sample sizes, again quickly shipped and no problems with my order. For colors I ordered samples from TBK, again no complaints! Im contemplating ordering oils from SoapersChoice as many people seem to recommend them, Im just still in a bit of sticker shock at the price! (They are still WAY cheaper then anyone else I've seen even with shipping) Its just the amount you have to order!

Bramble Berry, Peak, Columbus Foods, Essentials Depot so far. I doubt that any one supplier will ever be the go to guy for everything. I generally shop around and compare costs with and without shipping. Sometimes the decision comes down to distance due to shipping charges. Even so, BB is probably further away than anyone else (Washington state to Florida) but I like their web site and customer service. I order lye from Essentials Depot in Florida even having to pay state sales tax because of price and speed of delivery. They are probably in the neighborhood of 500 miles away and others cost as much or more due to shipping zone differences.
Not being a soap maker that long there are a bunch of suppliers I haven't used but will probably try out in time. Maybe.
One thing for sure, I listen to experiences others have had with different suppliers.

I used to get drain-cleaner lye from Tractor Supply, but it took a conversation with the manager each time to convince them I wasn't using it for Crack! I now get my lye via Amazon.com. Fast with that famous Amazon customer service: Food Grade Sodium Hydroxide Lye Micro Beads, 2 Lbs. (Buy 5 get $15 off) by Essential Depot
Buy new: $4.99 HOWEVER, shipping and handling is almost equal the cost of the lye. Essential Depot sometimes has free shipping direct, but I always cross reference the Amazon listing. Sometimes the same brand is cheaper there, sometimes not.
