I’ve been soaping every Saturday, and I have a plan to get all my fall/winter scents ready for use/sale by September 17. There will be 2-3 new scents every couple of weeks, with fall scents becoming available in August, with holiday scents ready mid-September. Want to get ahead of the holiday shopping season!

I cut soap yesterday, and now it’s curing. I’ve been working on my fall/winter collection.
I am fairly disappointed with how two of the soaps turned out. The first one was supposed to turn out differently in my head, and it also got way too hot and started to spill over the top of the soap. It was salvageable, but still not what I wanted. This has only happened to me twice, and both times it was with a Cashmere fragrance oil. Really annoyed. There was supposed to be more differentiation between the two colors, and the top color was supposed to be more white/off-white, with the bottom color being pink, but because of the high heat from the Cashmere, it looks like the lighter color burned a little (goat milk soap).
The second soap, I was attempting a kiss pour for the second time. The first time was too thin, and the colors blended together, and the second time the soap thickened up too much in the pitchers, so the pour technique didn’t work. I’ve since watched some videos on a different way to pour from one pitcher, and the maker still considered it a kiss pour, so I think I’ll try it that way next time. I’m determined to get that pour technique mastered. Just annoyed the soaps didn’t turn out the way I’d intended. They do smell good though.
