This weekend (not going anywhere, traveling with 14 dogs is a no go) I'm going to make soap ALL WEEKEND. What are some ideas? Pumpkin, obviously. I think I'm going to make some unscented soaps that have pumpkin and various veggie milks - I think Pumpkin with Coconut Milk and Pumpkin with Oat Milk and Honey sound particularly nice.

Chai? Hehehe we don't get fall here technically (so I don't really know what could fall under this category lol) but I'm planning on one anyway... But it's one of those things that could cross over to winter IMO.

All I can think of are the rich colors of fall in Virginia. Reds, golds, browns and greens make me think of leaves, spices, apples and Thanksgiving, so maybe cranberries too.

I made a chai soap a couple years ago. Didn't go over well. You may have better luck. But then I don't have a lot of luck with seasonal (fall/Christmas) scents. One exception is Apple Jack & Peel. I'm going to follow this thread though for ideas for next season. I'm done for this season this weekend is my last show. Can't wait to get back to making soapy stuff in the next month or two.

I'm not planning to order anything (hides from enablers) but more looking for ideas that might make use from what I have. Like grocery store ingredients to include, or FO combos I may not have thought of.

It's a mild spicy apple ish but not straight cinnamon. I used Peak's last time I made it.
That sounds exactly like the Apple Harvest from Candle Science.

Apple puree then!

I tried a Pumpkin Spiced Chai a couple years back but it didn't sell well. I think I may try it again this year without the 'Chai' in the name considering plain ol' 'Pumpkin Spice' is all the rage. :)

edit to say: I think most people in my area are like ... 'Chai' ... what's that?!? (I LOVE Chai ... how can they not know what it is!?)

Hmmm.... Pears? Cinnamon? Bourbon? Caramel? Figs? Mimosas? Sweet potatoes? Carrots? Coffee? Anise? Eggnog? Cocoa? I don't know if these last two are more fall or winter though..

Maybe pick a drink and pair it with a food? Pear + bourbon? Caramel + coffee? And add a spice? Hehehe

Great inspiration! I just bought an FO called Fig something!

I’m thinking woody with a hint of smoke, a dry scent like a sunny day with crackling leaves underfoot. Some wood+vetiver? And autumn leafy colours. Now that I think about it, I’m going to make this myself, probably with Sandalwood FO+ Vetiver EO. Mmm, looking forward to it!
