My point more than anything Dagmar is that what we make for bath & body soaps should not be mistaken as a facial soap. Yes if you are doing a really high SF with CO, PKO, et el then it won't be drying. If you are going for making a soap that is going to sold or promoted or even just called a facial soap then you need to be formulating for the needs of the skin. In general that soap should be high in moisturizing qualities and low on cleansing because as we all know even with a 0 cleansing soap still cleanses.

I'm just saying that to make soaps for specific uses you need to do the research. It makes me crazy when someone people pretend they made soap for whatever use when all it is is there regular recipe.

Doing the research makes you a better soapmaker and isn't that what we are all striving for? So when someone asks how does "this" look for a facial bar I am going to try to sure some of the research I have done.

I made an acne soap for my pre-teen daughter - it's the recipe on the Brambleberry Soap Teach website. It leaves my skin very soft but is slightly drying. But it cleared up her blemishes in a week. It has a lot of grapeseed oil in it which is astringent and tea tree oil as the main effective ingredients. Good luck!

i've looked on the brambleberry site and cannot find the soap teach website. can you provide a link? thanks!!!!
