Is expired lye usable? If so, how long past expiration? It looks like the day I bought it, has been stored in cool, dry, clean environment.

Was it unopened until now?
If it doesn't have clumps (or at least they are not that bad), it should be fine. You can decrease the SF for your recipe a bit just in case, and once you dissolve it in the water, check the temperature - if it's around 90 C, it'll be okay
