etsy shipping help!!

I had an almost customer to buy some soap from me but when she put it in the cart the shipping costs were more than the soap itself. I thought it just charged $5 shipping flat. How do you all on etsy set your shipping profiles?? Could anyone post an example? I am glad she told me so I can fix it of course....

For etsy I set my shipping at 2.30 for the first bar and .90 if with another item. USA only of course. I loose a little sometimes on multi bar orders but as long as it is just a little I don't care.
