So I ordered a bunch of molds to make stuff like coffee beans and chocolate chips to sprinkle on top of my soap. So my question is should I spray my loaf with alcohol before I stick the little embeds on top or should I spray after or should I skip the alcohol all together šŸ˜Š thanks so much.

If you are making cold process soap, put your embeds on top of the soap just after pouring soap into the mold. If you are using M&P base, wait until the soap forms a soft skin on top, spray with alcohol and apply the embeds on top of the soap.

Cold process, hot process, or melt and pour? And why am I hungry for a snack right now?
It CP soaping I do. In the future I'd like to learn HP soaping too but right now I'm still learning how to CP šŸ§¼ right now. Lol don't mention snacking I'm on a diet hehe just kidding lolšŸ˜„

I'm a beginner soaper. I have made these cold process soap embeds two days in advance and today I want to put them on top of my loaf cold process soap as decorations on top. I understand I should place them on top as soon as I pour the batter into the mold?
Is there a possibility they could melt during the gel phase when temperature rises?
I have tried M&P low sweat soap base for embeds made with a column mold and placed it inside my CP soap (hybrid soap) and it worked great. But now I want to also try using CP soap embed made with a column mold (round shape) and place it inside my loaf CP soap batter (trying to make a sun theme soap).
It is easier to use M&P low sweat base for embeds but I want to make a CP soap with CP embeds this time. Thank you if anybody has suggestions.
The soap forum has been a great tool for me as I learn. thank you for making this available, very grateful!
