What is the benefit of a double walled jar vs a single walled one?

Is it just personal preference?

There probably isn't a benefit of using double walled over single walled. Both containers will hold products. I personally think double walled jars look more elegant and professional.

Well, I have NO experience with either so this is just a guess, but based on what I have read anything the requires pouring or packaging at warmer temps says to use a double walled jar (lotions and creams as well as shaving soaps that are poured warm), I think they are sturdier and less susceptible to warping...? Just shooting in the dark so take it with a grain of salt!

That's a good thought. I've used both types and all the products I've made are cooled down enough not to cause warping. Everything I pour is 120 degrees or cooler and I really can't think of anything that's going to be poured at a higher temp. But maybe somebody else does and will post an answer.

Thanks for your responses. I ordered the single walled containers. Now, I'm wishing I had bought the double.

Oh well. Live and learn I guess.
