Talk to me. I just did my first drop swirl https://www.soapmakingforum.com/threads/first-drop-swirl.73983/#post-752438and I like it but it's not what I envisioned (which was https://www.soapmakingforum.com/threads/first-drop-swirl.73983/ like I could compete!) Like the video, I made my main gray layer a firm thick trace. I dropped my contrasting colors which were thinner trace from high but they basically just stayed on top of the first layer. They didn't really penetrate to below so I used a hanger to swirl. Can you tell me how you did this, what level of trace you did, technique, etc.?

I brought all 3 colors to light/medium trace and drop poured, alternating colors. Some I would go down each side, while other passes may have been down one side and middle. I also poured from different heights. The base was about 1/3 of my black. My black portion had a bit more than the colors. I think that maybe if you just poured from higher up you may get the result you desire. The batter has to be pourable, but not too thin. Hope this helps. I soaped at room temp.

Pretty , I did my first drop swirl this week, charcoal and clay with TD for drop. I think I like it to. I'll be trying more colors this week. Yours is inspiring. Thank You for sharing.
