Does too much flavor oil make lip balms soft?

Do you find if you use too much flavor oil it gets too soft and you can't wind the lip balm up?

You can't blindly follow a recipe and expect success unless it's something you personally have developed using your ingredients and to your preferences. It's important to test the consistency before you pour the balm into containers. If the balm is too soft, add more wax to get the firmness you want. Keep careful notes.

I haven't found it to make my lip balms soft but on a couple occasions when I added a bit too much it did seep out and ruin my labels. So, it's important to follow the allowed usage rates for each flavor oil.
