I would like to try it, but they only sell it in 24 pound blocks. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they thought of the base. The comments I have read on WSP is that it takes longer to set and it's harder to unmold. I actually like that it takes longer to set, but 24 pounds is a lot of soap for me to try.

Thank you!

personally, my favorite is the 25-pound block natural formulation from brambleberry http://www.brambleberry.com/Bramble-Berry-Bases-C11.aspx
very fair price, flat rate reasonable shipping, and a really, really nice product. and it's about the same price as the crafter's choice with the detergents and surfactants, which i avoid.

peak candle also has really nice selections at good prices, and wrapped individually so you don't have to cut up that great big block. when i don't need a ton of base i often go this route: http://www.peakcandle.com/products/Clear-Glycerine-Melt-and-Pour-Soap-Base__MP1001.aspx

I have used the pro-base from WSP. I noticed no difference at all in the time that the soap takes to set. I also had no issues getting the finished soap out of the mold. It is good base. The only reason that I do not continue using this base is because I do not like chopping up a big block. I prefer to order my soap in the 2 pound trays and the pro-base only comes in the 24 lb block.

Thank you both for your responses. I will take a look at the other bases. I really like the idea of a base not setting up too quickly. I may try combining a few to get the property I'm looking for.
