I made a CP batch a few weeks ago, it came out good but it didnt fill the mold, so when I took it out I have a bar that is 3.5x1x1.5 (instead of 2.5). Could I make a batch of whipped soap and put it on top to make the bar a normal size? Would the top half adhere being it was not all done at the same time?

The soap looks and smells good, its just not a full sized bar.

I put whipped soap on top of CP cupcakes. It stuck fine.
Remember that whipped soap gets used up faster, if that is a concern.

I would also Score the top of the bar your putting the whipped soap on top of, just to help. Make diagonal cuts about 1/2 inch deep all over the top so that the whipped soap can settle into them and make a more firm attachment.

To late! If I have to do it again I will remember that.

Shouldnt be an issue thats just a lil insurance policy to help make sure is all lol.

Whipped soap contains more air and less soap, but if you're talking weight - it doesn't seem to me like it gets used up faster.

I made the topping, screwed up and melted all the oils then whiipped. So I thought I ruined it, but what I got was a texture just like cp on the top half of the bar I was fixing, its even shiny.

Then I made a second batch the "right" way, and it came out like normal whipped soap. I dont have many air bubbles in my whipped soap cause I bang it down pretty good. How long the soap lasts, I dont know, but I sure do like the process and I learned something new by accident. Melting the oils makes it like a room temp cp.

What I cant figure out is, by melting all the oils and then adding the lye I pretty much was doing cp, yet I didnt worry about the trace issue and it came out great??
