Wondering if others use bore water or stick to well or distilled water.I have been using bore water and wonder am I going to benefit at all by changing to distilled. Thanks Liz:think:

Bore water is water pumped up from the water table underground. Usually a very long pipe is drilled into the soil until it reaches the water table. It is not treated at all and can be hard such as I have. No chemical additives at all. I have only used this water so far as well as the goats milk etc. No DOS or anything strange so far. But it has only been 3 months since I made my first soap being Castile that I am using now. I thought the distilled water would have to be used in soap making if the choice was town water that has been chemically treated to be potable.
I will continue with the bore water as I read others use well water with success.
But you have mentioned beer as your fluid. What does the beer bring to the soap other than the obvious fun side and attraction as a marketing tool. I am keen to experiment with whatever and develop some other styles of soaps too so am keen to learn. Hugs Liz
