I understand that they have different melting points, but it seems like everyone uses the 76 degree coconut oil. Are there any noticeable differences in cold process soap? I think I read that the 92 degree coconut oil creates a whiter and harder bar of soap. Is this true? Are there any down sides to using one over the other? I was going to order some of the 92 degree coconut oil from Soaper's Choice, but thought I would ask first.

Thank you all for your knowledge. I would be lost without this forum.

I've soaped them both and there was no difference. I just adjusted in soap calc. Soap was still fine. :) Hope this helps.
