OK, thanks starduster, I was really tired last night & didn't realize that I had posted a complete play by play of the weekend LOL

I'm off to soap!

Angbaby4974 - I'm glad you did post it all - plus I expect it made you feel better too huh? Don't give up on CP, it has it's place too. I love both CP & HP......I'm looking forward to seeing pics. BTW if you did add too much water to that one batch of soap, rebatch in again without any additional fluid and it will come out just fine..... :D

Yep I think I slept a little better haha
I did not know that I could rebatch again & it will be fine. YAY!! Will try that tomorrow while the kiddos are at school. It's an OO based soap & every one that I have tried, I haven't liked. I actually made the last one into a shampoo of sorts. I added way too much water & after 3 or 4 days it was still like a waterbed in the form, so I just kept adding water until it was a nice gel. I love it because it gives my hair more body than anything else I've ever tried. DH laughs at me 'cause I have it in a 3 lb. plastic shortening container sitting in the bathtub. Great thing is, I can go from head to toe with one glob of the not so pretty gel & my hair & skin feel awesome!

I actually love my OO soaps but I use Extra Virgin, I also discount my lye by 8% and my water by 5 - 10% depending on the time of year. This gives me a nice hard bar of soap that feels moisturizing. JMHO...

I guess I shouldn't say that I haven't liked them, but more that I have ended up screwing up almost every batch I made & didn't like the end results. I experiment waaaaayyyyy to much LOL. The very first soap I made was EVOO 75% & CO 25% & it was awesome! I still have a couple small bars in the bathroom & I gave some to my sister. We both LOVE that one. It has just gotten better with time.

Oh yeah - I use this as my base and then add stuff to it to create my different soaps - the other one I like is EVOO, CO & Tallow - it makes a nice bar of soap too.
