Determining amount of M&P for mold?

I'm working on my first real m&p project and need to figure out what loaf mold to use. Will 1 lb of base fit in a 1 lb mold? Is it really that easy?

From my limited experience, it does seem to work out...but remember unless you are melting in the mold you're going to lose some on the utensils because if you're like me, you can't scrape enough! Hoping someone else can confirm or deny...

I decided to melt it down in a large measuring bowl so I could see how many liquid ounces it would be.
Good thing I did, it wouldn't have worked in the mold I originally planned.

Oooof, at least its melt and pour and you can just remelt it (well, assuming you don't boil it...LOL)
