Has anyone ever used CYCLOMETHACONE to make dry oil spray? Is there a way to cut that with anything? It is not very cost effective to use.

You can cut it with oil, but it won't be a dry spray.

I have used it for a facial spray for my husband. He is resistant to putting anything on his face, and it leaves no oily or greasy feel. I scented it with Brambleberry's "drakkar". The whole purpose was to get him to apply Fitoderm squalane which (according to The Chemistry Store) a few drops will moisturize, prevent the formation of brown age spots and can protect against sun damage, including wrinkles.

In a 4 oz pump spray, I used:

4 oz cyclometicone
15 drops fragrance oil
2 tsp. squalane

He likes it, and so uses it. Victory!

I have also read somewhere that cyclomethacone is wonderful as a shaving lubrication, that prevents chaffing. Haven't tried it for that yet.
