Cut early, or recipe issue?

As I cut it was dragging and made the marks you see. I’m not sure if it’s because I cut too early or if it has something to do with my recipe.

Any help is appreciated

I think you have to know already what we're going to ask you: what is the recipe and method used?

What are all those little speckles throughout your soap?

Without any clues, though, I suspect that the marks are from all those little things being dragged through the soap by your... what? I'm guessing wire cutter.

Whole oats? Ground oats? Wire cutter? But, I'm betting on the oats being dragged through. To my eye, it looks like a lot of oats. But I don't use them much, so who am I to say? Do you usually use that much?

I use a wire cutter. Also, 45 grams for this is right about normal. Also, I grind the oats to specs so they are very small.

Then, maybe you're right about cutting too soon. If the soap was a little softer than usual, maybe the wire dragged them through. Is it more humid than usual where you are?

I'm sure someone will double check your numbers and chime in

Agreed, those look like drag marks, probably from some of the larger oat pieces. Also, are you wiping the strings after each and every cut?

I wipe the strings each time. It is like the middle is brittle and I was thinking maybe too much Honey. I think I’ll try a bit less

Used in high enough quantity, honey does normally makes the soap a little softer, which would also cause drag marks like you are seeing. So I think you are on the right track by reducing the honey.
