Hii,
I've been researching cupcake bathbombs lately, They really look amazing!
However, every recipe I see just says (for the topping) icing, color and scent.
So you'll have a lovely fizzing bathbomb and then a blob of sugar in your bath... Not really my idea of a nice bathtime.... Is there a way to let the topping dissolve like the bathbomb?

Thanks in advance!

Here is a recipe with SLS in the frosting.

I don't think sls or all the products that look like it will help it dissolve faster (or am I wrong) and I really want it to dissolve ...

why not make the tops out of whipped soap and let them be single use soap and bath bombs? then the top is not only pretty but functional. :)

I never really saw the use of bath bomb buttom, whipped soap topping (I'm having the feeling that I'm not being an easy person). For a soap cupcake I prefer a cp/hp buttom and whipped topping.
Would it be possible to add 10% of bath bomb mixture (3:1 bicarb: citric) to the icing?

i couldnt tell you, the only way to know for sure would be to try it, but i have never seen a bath bomb like tht before. :)

There must be a first for everything :p
I think it might be possible but the icing could become a bit less smooth...

I have been wanting the same thing. I don't want a bottom that fizzles and a top that is solid. Whipped butters will just be a greasy bath.

could you possibly make a meringue and instead of using sugar, use baking soada and citric acid? i dont know, i have never tried it before but perhaps someone wants to experiment... :)

The problem with using the same ingredients from the bath bomb in the icing is that you have to use water to create the whipped top look and it will set off the bath bomb ingredients.

I do like the idea of a whipped soap on top though.... what about a whipped MP soap top?

Witch hazel would still make the citric acid/baking soda mixture fizzle.
If you're using whipped mp, you don't need to add water. You can just melt it and whip it.
I'm not sure about whipped cp or hp.
