I forgot to order some, and I don't want to wait for delivery - where can I buy it by the pound locally? I have Whole Foods, Publix, Aldi, Wal-Mart, and Indian, Asian and Mexican groceries. Any of those likely to carry it in 8 oz or 1 lb quantities, or should I just suck it up and order some?

Guess I'll have to order it.

Now here's my question.
According to BB:Cream of Tartar- Controls the pH of egg whites and results in increased volume, stability and more uniform texture of the finished products.

We love to use a little in our Bath Bomb Cupcake Frosting to make sure it doesn't deflate.

Ingredients:
Botanical Name: Calcium sulfate, Monocalcium phosphate, Adipic acid, Corn starch
Common Name: Cream of Tartar

But according to The Chemistry Store: Potassium bitartrate

Are these the same thing??
