Finally have my set-up to my liking. I'm using my antique pop crates, which start many a conversation. Bought a table skirt because it is required at some of my Christmas shows. The clips don't fit so I taped it on. Getting sticky velcro tape this week. New soap packaging with new labels. My husband drilled holes in the bags so soaps can still breathe. Used Avery labels - craft for back and clear for soap name. Tied with ribbon, raffia or hemp. Will be adding Christmas bon hommes for the holiday shows.
Brought with different size baskets and tulle for making Christmas baskets. I'm going to charge a set fee for baskets, tulle, ribbon, filler, then product costs.

Have my last farmers market this Saturday. Two a week has kept me busy but it been a great market season. Now I'll be kicking into high gear getting ready for Christmas shows: one local and three away (2-day shows, to which I will travel). Shows start November 1st and end December 6/7.

Back to lurkdom... ;)

I like your display. Nice job! Just a bit of advice. My banner curls on the bottom too so I have used safety pins to attach it to the bottom of my cloths. It helps a great deal. Or you can use a heavy duty tape/duct tape to attach it too. That works sometimes.

Because the clips didn't fit, it took me waay longer to cover my table and I didn't have time to tack down the banner and never had time all day. My bad. I'm thinking a velcro sticky would work, as well.

You can get nice fitted or flat Tablecloths from The Table Cloth factory. They are a little wide for some tables but you can hang the excess on the back of your table. I have used their fitted table cloths for 5 yrs and they have quick shipping.
Your setup looks very nice.

That looks really nice! I'd been wondering how to handle the materials cost of making gift baskets, do you just add everything up together or do you offer a discount if they purchase more than $X?

I'm charging a flat rate + the cost of product. I've got 5 colors of tulle and will get more ($1.50 / meter on sale) when I get my velcro strip for table. I have an assortment of different size baskets which should satisfy everyone's budget.

Looks like your are ready to sell, sell, sell! Good luck!

Thanks so much for the answer! I've been looking at different gift containers, but was leaning towards a low tray or basket and the tulle--it's, in my opinion, more reusable than a basket bag.

(even though I do save basket bags to reuse!)

I use baskets with handles because they tie up so nicely at the top. Hate basket bags! Hate the "crinkle." I didn't do baskets last yeat but this year I've hate lot of customers ask about them. I'll also put filler in the bottom so the product nestles nicely.
