I made my first batch of CPHP tonight! It was pretty fun, and easy.... I may have to start making my soap like this more often!

One thing I have noticed since putting it into the mold (I used a milk carton) is that it is "re-gelling". Does this mean I did not let it gel enough in the crock pot before putting it into the mold? I'm not sure if it is supposed to gel AGAIN in the mold or not?

It appeared to have gelled completely in the crock pot, and I did a zap test with no zap (so I assumed it was ready!)

Did I do this right?

I'm new at CPHP soaps also. I never had a re-gel in the molds. Do you have pictures and a recipe of your soap. What did the soap look like when you put it in the molds...colour and consistency.

I don't have pictures of what it looked like when I was making it, but when I cut it today I took some. I can't post them right now, but the soap looks just like normal CP soap (which I didn't expect.... I thought it would be more "lumpy" but it is pretty smooth!)

When I poured it into the molds it was gelly and was a light yellow colour. It is hard now and it's turned almost white. When I first poured it into the mold, it started to go white (cooling off) but about 10 minutes later the gel started up again and stayed for about 3 hours.

Because it doesn't look any different to me than CP soap, I'm wondering if I even did the HP thing right! It was thick and "gloppy" when I put it into the mold, but I think the "second" gel smoothed it out.
