Hello!

I'm a newbie to soap making (and this forum!:D) and I've been trying to find the answer to this question: can I use cold process embeds in melt-and-pour glycerin soap? I have only seen info on the reverse-- using glycerin embeds in CP soap. o_O
If I can use CP embeds in glycerin soap, do I need to wait for them to cure or can I use fresh CP embeds with glycerin soap? Will the CP embeds be too soft and not cure well inside the glycerin? Will it make a difference?

Thank you!

I don't see why you couldn't. You might want to let your MP soap to cool to around 125°-130° before you pour it. The only problem I can see would be the imbeds not attaching to the CP soap. Maybe someone with a little more knowledge will chime in.

You can. I would wait for the embeds to cure, that way they are not trapped inside the M&P and can get the air it needs to cure properly.

That's why it should be well cured first. If it's well cured it will not shrink enough to leave gaps.

Yes but I think that will be months of curing making it not worthwhile. The lady who did the video said "I thought these had cured long enough but I was wrong."

I do it with just a normal cure (not months) and it's always been fine. Even with the M&P bar being months old. The only thing that has happened is after a few months the clear M&P will start to leach out the color of the CP embeds and become cloudy.
